Welcoming our newest partners: Hunter Campbell Recruitment

Without business sponsorships, we would be unable to run our camps, which is why it is so important to see amazing organisations like Hunter Campbell Specialist Recruitment join Camp Quality as an official partner!

Hunter Campbell are celebrating their ninth year in business as Auckland’s leading specialists in search and recruitment. For every position, whether it is for an entry-level clerk or a high-profile partnership, they seek out genuine passion and leadership.

These core values are central to the Hunter Campbell way of working, and Managing Partner Lee Marshall says that this approach is what led them to choosing Camp Quality as one of their first charity partners.

“We are very privileged to be in the position to take on a bigger sponsorship role and give back,” says Lee. “We knew that we wanted to support two organisations ongoing – one with social impact and the other with environmental impact.”

When Hunter Campbell asked their team to offer up suggestions of who to work with, Kat Biggelaar put forward Camp Quality’s name.

“When we met with Dave, Kevin and the Auckland Camp Quality team, we were struck by just how unique this charity was. We really understood their service and their passion.”

They’ve come on board to help Camp Quality provide children living with cancer camp experiences that build resilience, problem solving skills, social connections, confidence, and self-esteem.

It was also important to the Hunter Campbell team to work with an organisation where they could really make a difference. Lee says, “The ability to create a genuine impact at Camp Quality was palpable. We knew that our help here would really be felt.”

Along with generous financial support, Hunter Campbell will also be hosting an annual Golf Day in November, which brings together clients and other companies. This year, the event will include a fundraising component where proceeds will go towards supporting Camp Quality.

The Hunter Campbell team will also be donating a day of service, where their entire team will have the opportunity to volunteer at a camp.

We are incredibly excited to be working with Hunter Campbell and build this partnership with their team. Thank you to Lee for working with us, Kat for the suggestion, Lydia for managing the collaboration, and founding partners Ken Webb and John Nevill for investing in our mission.

Partnerships between businesses and not-for-profits are so important, as it costs approximately $2,700 for a child to attend a winter and summer camp each year. Our business partners help us ensure our long-term sustainability, while we provide them with ways to have an even greater positive impact and live their values.
