Auckland Police show true quality

Auckland City Police officers have stepped up to give their time and support to some brave children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Ably supported by the AOS, Dog Section, Eagle, PSU, Maritime and SAR staff, officers attended Camp Quality Auckland/Northlands 2024 Summer Camp to showcase their skills and equipment.

Sergeant Telisha Krishna and her husband have volunteered as camp companions, offering one-on-one support to the young campers, for over 10 years and now help co-ordinate the companions. These companions include a growing list of Police staff giving up their time to support this great cause.

While there is no cost to the child’s family, Camp Quality has to fundraise in order to cover the $2,700 yearly cost to support a child to experience the magic of camp. To help with this, Sergeants Telisha Krishna and Jackson Hood, are running five half marathons to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
