Volunteer as a Companion

A companion is a special person who donates their time to a Camper to provide one-to-one support for the week of camp and beyond, ensuring that they have a wonderful experience.

Are you 18 or over? (20 or over for Auckland/Northland volunteers)
Do you enjoy working with children?
Are you available to attend Camp Quality training?
Are you available over summer for the entire week of camp?
Are you caring, positive and empathetic?

If you answered yes to these questions then we would love to hear from you. We need a good cross section of people to match up with Campers from diverse backgrounds. There is no cost for you to attend training or camp.

Other ways you can volunteer

So being a companion is not for you? A successful camp also requires a mix of other volunteer skills. You can join a regional committee, help with the programme and activities, training, fundraising, camp photography, videography, transport, become a camp nurse, kitchen hand, meal server or cleaner.
